PRIVACY POLICY
RoboRun Privacy Policy
RoboRun keeps data on your device first, collects only what a feature needs, and sends as little as possible when a network request is required. After you sign in to iCloud, only some data you create is stored in your own iCloud account. RoboRun does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment advice.
1. What data RoboRun processes
Apple Health data
After you explicitly grant access, RoboRun can read steps, heart-rate variability (HRV / SDNN), resting heart rate, sleep, and menstrual-cycle data through Apple HealthKit. These data are used to show recent state and energy changes, surface personal patterns, and answer questions you ask about your recent state.
Your records
RoboRun processes text you enter or confirm, speech-to-text transcripts, record times, and necessary state information. These are used to form your personal records and organize your recent state. The current version does not give you a way to add custom tags.
Microphone and voice
RoboRun accesses the microphone only when you start a recording. Raw audio is not sent to RoboRun servers. Temporary recordings are cleaned up according to the transcription and recovery flow.
2. How HealthKit data is used
RoboRun does not use HealthKit data for advertising, targeted marketing, marketing profiles, selling personal health information, or data mining unrelated to current features.
Raw HealthKit data is managed by Apple Health. RoboRun does not copy the entire HealthKit database to a RoboRun cloud. Raw health data in HealthKit is not copied into RoboRun’s CloudKit database because of iCloud sync, and we do not store personal HealthKit data in iCloud on our own.
3. On-device storage, iCloud sync, and Apple Watch
RoboRun does not provide its own cloud account. When you are not signed in to iCloud, records, pattern preferences, and daily photos stay on this device. After you sign in to iCloud, RoboRun may use Apple CloudKit to keep these user-created data in your iCloud account so they can sync and restore across Apple devices that use the same Apple ID. Daily photos are the versions processed by RoboRun, not the originals in your system photo library. Sync is provided by Apple, not a RoboRun-built server.
Voice records created on Apple Watch are transferred between the watch and iPhone through Apple WatchConnectivity so they can be transcribed and saved on iPhone. This is not public internet transfer, and it is not the same as iCloud sync.
4. When data is sent to a server
In the current version, Ask offers only preset questions. Answers are generated on this device from your state and records for the day, and are not sent to RoboRun servers. Today’s receipt is also generated and shared on this device and does not go through the Ask service. The current interface has no free-text input, send, or web-search entry.
Related server code is still in the project. If those entries are later opened to you, we will update this policy and send only the text and limited context needed for that feature, and only when you use it. We will not send the full HealthKit database or raw recordings.
5. Third-party services
RoboRun also uses Apple HealthKit, CloudKit / iCloud, Speech, AVFoundation, and WatchConnectivity for health-data reads, sync across devices on the same Apple ID, speech transcription, recording, and transfer between watch and iPhone. Some service providers may be located in a country or region different from yours.
6. Data export
You can export the records, patterns, pattern preferences, and runtime state that RoboRun stores, as JSON. The current export does not include raw HealthKit data, health summaries, raw recordings, daily photos, conversation content, API keys, service addresses, or debug configuration.
After an export file leaves RoboRun, its security depends on where you save it and who receives it.
7. Data deletion and cleanup
The current version lets you delete saved records one by one on the Records page. There is no single button that deletes all data at once, and no button that immediately and permanently wipes iCloud sync copies. Deleting the app only clears local data on this device. It does not automatically delete copies already synced to your iCloud account. You can sign out of iCloud in system settings, or manage this app’s data in iCloud storage management.
RoboRun cannot delete raw data that Apple Watch, iPhone, or other apps wrote to Apple Health. Manage that data in the Apple Health app.
8. Permissions and your rights
You can refuse or later withdraw system permissions such as Apple Health and the microphone. Refusing a permission only affects features that depend on it.
You can view, export, and delete data that RoboRun lets you manage, and you can contact us with questions about access, export, deletion, and privacy.
9. Data security
We take reasonable measures such as data minimization, on-device-first storage, HTTPS transport, isolating server-side keys, and reducing personal information in logs. iCloud sync is provided by Apple. No electronic storage or network transmission can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
10. Policy updates and contact
If data sources, cloud features, AI providers, or processing methods change in a material way, we will update this policy and the date at the top of this page.
